FAQ for High Jewelry Clients

Questions We Are Most Often Asked — And How We Answer Them

This FAQ is not designed to answer every possible question.
It focuses on the questions we hear most often from clients who are already familiar with high jewelry, bespoke work, and long-term value.

If you are new to fine or high jewelry, some of these answers may feel unusually deliberate. That is intentional. Our work exists in a space where clarity matters more than speed.

Do you work only on a bespoke basis?

Yes.

Every piece we create is made to order. We do not produce ready-made collections, and we do not offer catalog-based customization. Each project begins with design development specific to a single client, brand, or collection.

This approach allows us to maintain control over materials, structure, and craftsmanship. It also means that timelines and pricing reflect the reality of bespoke work rather than mass production.

What types of clients do you typically work with?

We work primarily with:

  • Luxury and fine jewelry brands

  • Independent designers working at a high level

  • High-end boutiques

  • Private commissions introduced through trusted channels

We are less suited to projects driven by rapid trend cycles, ultra-low pricing, or large-scale repetition. Our strength lies in depth of work, not volume.

Is there a minimum budget for a bespoke project?

There is no fixed number that applies to every project.
However, bespoke high jewelry inevitably involves a certain level of investment.

Costs reflect design development, material quality, skilled labor, and limited production volume. Projects that require us to compromise on these fundamentals are not a good fit.

We prefer to discuss scope and expectations early, so both sides have a realistic understanding from the beginning.

Do you work with moissanite as a primary stone?

Yes, and we do so intentionally.

We treat moissanite as a high jewelry material in its own right, not as a substitute. That means we are selective about cut quality, optical balance, and how it is set.

Moissanite requires a different approach than diamonds. When treated carefully, it can be refined and elegant. When treated casually, it can feel overstated. Our craftsmanship reflects that distinction.

Do you also work with natural gemstones and diamonds?

Yes.

We work with fine gemstones and ethically sourced diamonds selected according to both technical standards and design compatibility. Certification can be provided when required.

Beyond grading, we consider how a stone behaves within a specific design. A stone that looks excellent on paper but performs poorly in a setting is not used.

Can materials be changed during the process?

Material decisions are made carefully and early.

Minor adjustments may be possible during the design phase. Once production has begun, changes to stones or metals are limited, as substitution often introduces structural or aesthetic risk.

This discipline protects the integrity of the piece and avoids compromises that are difficult to correct later.

How long does a bespoke project usually take?

Timelines vary depending on complexity, materials, and design development.

As a general principle, bespoke work follows craftsmanship timelines, not production schedules. Some pieces require additional refinement or reassessment, and we allow for that.

We do not rush projects at the expense of quality. If a timeline requires speed above all else, a bespoke approach may not be appropriate.

Do you offer rush or expedited services?

We do not offer rush production as a standard option.

While we understand that certain deadlines are important, accelerating craftsmanship often means compromising inspection, refinement, or setting quality. That is not a trade-off we are willing to make.

When timing is critical, we prefer to discuss feasibility honestly rather than promise outcomes that cannot be achieved responsibly.

Can you replicate an existing design exactly?

Exact replication is rarely advisable.

Even when a reference is provided, differences in stones, proportions, or materials often require thoughtful adjustment. We focus on interpreting and refining designs rather than copying them without context.

If a project requires strict duplication at scale, a different type of supplier may be more suitable.

Do you accept small-batch or limited collection projects?

Yes, provided they align with high jewelry standards.

We are well suited to limited collections where each piece still receives individual attention. Projects designed for scale-driven efficiency or standardized components fall outside our working model.

How involved will I be during the process?

Bespoke work is collaborative.

Clients are typically involved during concept development, material selection, and key design decisions. Once production begins, communication becomes more focused, allowing craftsmen to work without constant disruption.

We aim for meaningful involvement, not continuous intervention.

How do you ensure long-term durability?

Durability is addressed at every stage: design, material selection, setting, and finishing.

We avoid overly delicate structures, thin metal shortcuts, or settings that prioritize appearance over security. Each piece is evaluated for real-world wear, not just visual impact.

High jewelry should not require special caution to remain intact.

What kind of quality control do you apply?

Quality control is integrated throughout the process, not reserved for the end.

Each piece undergoes multiple inspections at different stages, including structural checks, stone security evaluation, and final aesthetic review.

This layered approach reduces risk and ensures consistency.

Do you provide documentation or certification?

When applicable, yes.

Diamond certification and relevant documentation can be provided depending on the project. We discuss these requirements early to ensure alignment.

Is confidentiality guaranteed for brand or private-label projects?

Yes.

Confidentiality is fundamental to our work with brands and designers. Designs, materials, and production details are treated as private and are not reused or disclosed.

What happens if a project is not a good fit?

If we feel that a project’s requirements conflict with our standards or working model, we will say so openly and respectfully.

This clarity protects both sides and allows clients to find partners better suited to their needs.

How do you define success in a bespoke project?

A project is successful when the final piece feels inevitable.

When design, materials, craftsmanship, and intent align, the jewelry does not need explanation. It simply works—visually, structurally, and emotionally.

That is the outcome we work toward.

Is bespoke high jewelry right for everyone?

No—and that is not a limitation.

Bespoke high jewelry is most rewarding for clients who value patience, clarity, and long-term perspective. For others, ready-made or semi-custom solutions may be more appropriate.

Understanding this distinction early leads to better outcomes for everyone involved.

A Final Note

These answers are not meant to persuade.
They are meant to inform.

If you find that they reflect how you already think about jewelry, materials, and process, then we are likely aligned. If not, that clarity is just as valuable.

Good work begins with the right questions—and honest answers.
